चाणक्य नीति : चौथा अध्याय

                                    

    जिस व्यक्ति के पास धर्म और दया नहीं है उसे दूर करो.

जिस गुरु के पास अध्यात्मिक ज्ञान नहीं है उसे दूर करो. 

जिस पत्नी के चेहरे पर हरदम घृणा है उसे दूर करो. 

जिन रिश्तेदारों के पास प्रेम नहीं उन्हें दूर करो.

Remove the person who does not have religion and kindness.

Remove the guru who does not have spiritual knowledge.

Remove the wife whose face is always hateful.

Remove relatives who do not have love.

* निम्नलिखित बातें माता के गर्भ में ही निश्चित हो जाती है

1.  व्यक्ति कितने साल जियेगा 
2.  वह किस प्रकार का काम करेगा 
3.  उसके पास कितनी संपत्ति होगी 
4.  उसकी मृत्यु कब होगी .

* The following things are decided in the mother's womb

1. How many years will the person live
2. What kind of work will he do
3. How much property will he have
4. When will he die.

 

पुत्र , मित्र, सगे सम्बन्धी साधुओं को देखकर दूर भागते है, 

लेकिन जो लोग साधुओं का अनुशरण करते है उनमे भक्ति जागृत होती है 

और उनके उस पुण्य से उनका सारा कुल धन्य हो जाता है .

Son, friend, running away after seeing the related saints,

But devotion is awakened in those who follow saints

And with that virtue their entire family gets blessed.

जैसे मछली दृष्टी से, कछुआ ध्यान देकर और पंछी स्पर्श करके अपने बच्चो को पालते है, 

वैसे ही संतजन पुरुषों की संगती मनुष्य का पालन पोषण करती है.

Like the fish, the tortoises raise their children by paying attention and touching the birds,

In the same way, the company of saintly men nurtures man.

जब आपका शरीर स्वस्थ है और आपके नियंत्रण में है '

उसी समय आत्मसाक्षात्कार का उपाय कर लेना चाहिए 

क्योंकि मृत्यु हो जाने के बाद कोई कुछ नहीं कर सकता है.

When your body is healthy and under your control '

At the same time, a measure of self-realization should be taken

Because after death one cannot do anything.

विद्या अर्जन करना यह एक कामधेनु के समान है 

जो हर मौसम में अमृत प्रदान करती है. 

वह विदेश में  माता के समान रक्षक अवं हितकारी होती है. 

इसीलिए विद्या को एक गुप्त धन कहा जाता है.

To earn knowledge it is like a Kamadhenu

Which provides nectar in every season.

She is a protector and a benefactor like mother in foreign countries.

That is why learning is called secret money.

सैकड़ों गुणरहित पुत्रों से अच्छा एक गुणी पुत्र है 

क्योंकि एक चन्द्रमा ही रात्रि के अन्धकार को भगाता है, 

असंख्य तारे यह काम नहीं करते.

There is one better son than hundreds of virtuous sons

Because only one moon shuns the darkness of night,

Innumerable stars do not work.

एक ऐसा बालक जो जन्मते वक़्त मृत था, 

एक मुर्ख दीर्घायु बालक से बेहतर है. 

पहला बालक तो एक क्षण के लिए दुःख देता है, 

दूसरा बालक उसके माँ बाप को जिंदगी भर दुःख की अग्नि में जलाता है.

A child who was dead at birth,

A foolish longevity is better than a child.

The first child hurts for a moment,

The second child burns his parents in the fire of sorrow throughout his life.

*निम्नलिखित बाते व्यक्ति को बिना आग के ही जलाती है...

1. एक छोटे गाव में बसना जहा रहने की सुविधाए उपलब्ध नहीं.
2. एक ऐसे व्यक्ति के यहाँ नौकरी करना जो नीच कुल में पैदा हुआ है.
3. अस्वास्थय्वर्धक भोजन का सेवन करना.
4. जिसकी पत्नी हरदम गुस्से में होती है.
5. जिसको मुर्ख पुत्र है.
6.  जिसकी पुत्री विधवा हो गयी है.

*The following thing burns a person without fire ...

1. Living facilities in a small village where facilities are not available.
2. Doing a job with a person who is born in a low caste.
3. Consuming unhealthy food.
4. Whose wife is always angry.
5. Who has a foolish son
6. Whose daughter is widowed.

वह गाय किस काम की जो ना तो दूध देती है ना तो बच्चे को जन्म देती है. 

उसी प्रकार उस बच्चे का जन्म किस काम का जो ना ही विद्वान हुआ ना ही भगवान् का भक्त हुआ.

What is the use of a cow that neither gives milk nor gives birth to a child.

In the same way, what work was the birth of a child who was neither a scholar nor a devotee of God.

 

*जब व्यक्ति जीवन के दुःख से झुलसता है उसे निम्नलिखित ही सहारा देते है...

1. पुत्र और पुत्री 
2. पत्नी 
3. भगवान् के भक्त.

*When a person burns with the sorrow of life, he gives the following support ...

1.  Son and daughter
2.  wife
3.  Devotees of God.

*यह बाते एक बार ही होनी चाहिए..

1.  राजा का बोलना.
2.  बिद्वान व्यक्ति का बोलना.
3.  लड़की का ब्याहना.

1.  Speaking of the king.
2.  Speaking of a person.

जब आप तप करते है तो अकेले करे.

अभ्यास करते है तो दुसरे के साथ करे.

गायन करते है तो तीन लोग करे.

कृषि चार लोग करे.

युद्ध अनेक लोग मिलकर करे.

When you meditate, do it alone.

If you practice, do it with each other.

If people sing, three people should do it.

Four people should do agriculture.

Many people should make war together.

वही अच्छी पत्नी है जो शुचिपूर्ण है, 

पारंगत है, शुद्ध है, पति को प्रसन्न करने वाली है और सत्यवादी है.

She is a good wife who is beautiful,

Expert, pure, pleasing husband and truthful.

जिस व्यक्ति के पुत्र नहीं है उसका घर उजाड़ है. 

जिसे कोई सम्बन्धी नहीं है उसकी सभी दिशाए उजाड़ है. 

मुर्ख व्यक्ति का ह्रदय उजाड़ है. निर्धन व्यक्ति का सब कुछ उजाड़ है.

The house of a person who does not have a son is desolate.

All the directions of the one who is not related are desolate.

The heart of a foolish person is desolate. Everything of the poor person is desolate.

जिस अध्यात्मिक सीख का आचरण नहीं किया जाता वह जहर है.

 जिसका पेट ख़राब है उसके लिए भोजन जहर है. निर्धन व्यक्ति के

 लिए लोगो का किसी सामाजिक या व्यक्तिगत कार्यक्रम में एकत्र होना जहर है.

 The spiritual learning that is not practiced is poison.

 Food is poison for someone whose stomach is bad. Poor people

 For people to gather in any social or personal program is poison.

सतत भ्रमण करना व्यक्ति को बूढ़ा बना देता है. 

यदि घोड़े को हरदम बांध कर रखते है तो वह बूढा हो जाता है.

 यदि स्त्री उसके पति के साथ प्रणय नहीं करती हो तो बुढी हो जाती है.

 धुप में रखने से कपडे पुराने हो जाते है.

 Continuous walking makes a person old.

If the horse is always tied, then it becomes old.

 If the woman does not love her husband, then she becomes old.

 Clothes get old by keeping them in the sun.

1. सही समय
2. सही मित्र
3. सही ठिकाना
4. पैसे कमाने के सही साधन
5. पैसे खर्चा करने के सही तरीके
6. आपके उर्जा स्रोत.

*Consider these things again and again…

1. Right time
2. Right friend
3. Right where
4. Right means to earn money
5. Right ways to spend money
6. Your energy source.

द्विज अग्नि में भगवान् देखते है.

भक्तो के ह्रदय में परमात्मा का वास होता है.

जो अल्प मति के लोग है वो मूर्ति में भगवान् देखते है.

लेकिन जो व्यापक दृष्टी रखने वाले लोग है, वो यह जानते है की भगवान सर्व व्यापी है.

God sees in Dwij fire.

God resides in the heart of devotees.

Those who are of small nature see God in the idol.

But those who have broad vision, they know that God is all-pervasive.
